Korean shift key
Korean keyboards need a shift key ㅃㅉㄸㄲㅆㅒㅖ needs a way to get typed faster.
Korean needs shift key while we write anything. So we need flow when we write.
Unlike what you might possibly perceive, use of double consonants in Korean language is very frequent. And the default key press on Korean keyboard is Shift+single consonant. (Very similar to inputting capital letters in English. ) Please keep this in mind in your later update of Korean keyboard.
I find this ~ button pointless and confusing to use because on other Korean keyboards there's shift button instead of ~ button that you have on SwiftKey keyboard
It's pretty fascinating to hold on a key to type things likeㅃ, ㅉ, ㄸ, ㄲ, and ㅆ but it's just more comfortable using shift key instead. At least I am. Plus, we don't really need ~key. There might be some people who like to hold keys, so adding an option to choose whether to hold on a key or use shift key would be great.
For the double consonant in Korean language, we usually use shift keys. I'd like to see a shift key in Korean keyboard
to type 'double letter' (for example ㅃㅉㄸㄲㅆ ㅒㅖ) , this keyboard currently allow only long-pressing. However, in Korean typing, shift key is more frequently pressed than that of English keyboard because of 'double letter'.......
one more thing..... korean use English quite a few time. so the layouts should look alike to avoid mistake.
Thanks for this awesome keyboard!
korean keyboard layout has missing important korean currency unit WON
and i think add the shift key function will makes swiftkey better then now
please korean keyboard layout add shift key
The Wave key than, the shift key is necessary
We also need shift key just like English keyboard, so please add shift key on Korean keyboard. I don't want '~' key at place of shift key.
Long presses slows down the typing speed which people don't like.
Shift key is a MUST for korean keyboard! Without it Korean keyboard cannot exist..
Now I have used Swiftkey for about a week. I enjoyed using it for English typing however experience in Korean is very poor due to ONE simple fact - having ~ key rather than shift key to enter double consonant. This must be a big huddle for all korean keyboard users, I can say with the confidence. Please put back shift key instead of ~ key for next release.
I am used to using the shift key to enable the double consonants. Using long presses to type them breaks my rhythm when I type.
I want to be able use shift key in korean
add shift key Korean to quick typing
I'd like to see a shift key readily available for the Korean keyboard because using the shift key creates a whole new character, not capitalizing like in English. Thank you!
Shiftley add pelese.
I'm not sure if this was a design choice, but not having the shift key in Korean input and having to long press instead really throws off Korean typists who learned to type on a physical keyboard. All the double consonants ( ㅃㅉㄸㄲㅆ) and the combined vowels (ㅒㅖ) should be enabled after shift press.
repalce ' to shift for when we wanna type 된소리 like ㅃㅉㄸㄲㅆ 또는 ㅕㅑㅠㅛ it is more fast and easy to Korean
한글에서 된소리 초성을 넣을때 길게 누르게 하늠 대신 ' 요거 자리에 shift 를 멓어주세요 그게 훨ㅆ신 빠르게 쓸수 있어요. ㅠㅠ
The shift key has been added. Make sure you have SwiftKey 5.0 or higher.
I want to have a option that using a long click type.
It's not the speed. It's just being uniformed w other keyboards. Shift is standard among Korean keyboards not long press.
Long press change is more faster and convenient than using shift key.
Double tap > Long press > shift key
I've been trying out Swiftkey flow beta for a couple of days now and it seems like you guys nailed it.
Shift key's added, the long-press options are still there, and the key positions are consistent with the English keyboard.
Thanks for the great work!

I deleted and reinstalled Korean but still don't see a shift key.
Where and how do I download beta version?
How can I try it out? Its not working
Really needs this fixed. It's very annoying not having this feature. Actually more like impossible to use.
Please fix this ASAP

for Korean language a shift key are used a lot.
it is really necessary.
1. Shift key!
2. Same layout as the English keyboard. I switch between English and Korean a lot, and get a lot of typos because the keys are not in the same position.
Hope you guys can make these changes soon!
really need this feature.. please add language switch button instead if swiping the space bar as well.
As I posted a new idea, we don't really need a shift key. When I first found that there is no shift key, I complained. However, if you hold ㅂㅈㄷ... keys, you can type ㅃㅉㄸ... much faster than moving your finger for shift key and coming back for typing again. Just make holding duration shorter.
All this is possible because, unlike other keyboards, numbers are not on this row.

Just testing and I love this. But shift key is almost essential in Korean. It's just different from french alphabets with accents or english with capitals. Of course you can get used to it but lack of shift key speeds down so much. Really hope it gets better.
These double letter double tap or slide up is good way to input in smart phone. Hope it works at the start and end of word.
add korean shift key..
Yes. This app really needs shift button on Korean keyboard.
