Half Alphabets In Hindi
Hindi language uses half alphabets. Literally, "half" the alphabet is written in some cases. Kind of similar to lowercase in English. Please include a key, may be SHIFT to allow half alphabets.
1 voteTo input half letters you’ll need to use the ‘Virama’ sign, which is the third key (from left) in the third row. It looks like this: ‘्’. In order to type a half letter, you should first input the full letter and then type the ‘Virama’ key.

Norwegian word "i" mixes with the English word "I".
The norwegian word for "in" - "i", keeps mixing up with the English word "I". This results in a uppercase letter where it should be lowercase. I need both the English and Norwegian predictions, and therefore it would be helpful if the keyboard somehow understood witch language you currently are typing, and choose the predicted words based on this. :)
75 votesThis issue has been fixed, the letter “i” should not be capitalised anymore when tying in Norwegian. Please update your Norwegian language module by going into SwiftKey Settings→Languages&Layouts→Press menu→ Select “Update Languages”. If Norwegian is enabled an “Update” button will appear next to it.

When using Croatian language, SwiftKey capitalizes letter "a" for no obvious reason.
Device I'm using is Galaxy Nexus with latest version of SwiftKey.
3 votesThis issue has been fixed. Please update your Croatian language module by going into SwiftKey Settings→Languages&Layouts→Press menu→ Select “Update Languages”. If Croatian is enabled an “Update” button will appear next to it.

The word "Hristos" should not be the first suggestion in Romanian
Hristos is Christ in romanian.
The person who created the romanian languages pack thought it wise to have "Hristos" as the first suggestion before typing anything in Romanian.
That is screwed up and should not happen.
6 votesThank you for your feedback! The top predictions have now been adjusted to more common words.

French: Put space between the end of a sentence and punctuation
Appending an exclamation mark or a question mark (only those two) right after a word is grammatically incorrect in French.
e.g.: "I love SwiftKey X!" should be "I love SwiftKey X !"
Nearly all the keyboards on Android except the stock one does this mistake (even the physical
keyboard on my previous Motorola phone when auto-punctuation was enabled). It would be great if SwiftKey X did that !Thanks,

French hyphenated words (hyphen)
In French, it is very common to use the hyphen in imperative (e.g. Dis-moi) and interrogative (e.g. Peux-tu?) tenses. It becomes a problem to tap a suggestion that should be followed by hyphen and a second word.
If for example I need to type "peux-tu", I'd do the following:
1. type "pe"
2. tap on "peux" from suggestion
3. hit backspace because the suggested words come with a trailing space
4. type the hyphen
5. type "tu"Too much typing I must say.
I would be very helpful if...
+ "peux-tu" comes as suggestion when I type "peuxt" or "peuxtu" …3 votes -
not learning hyphenated words in Portuguese
Portuguese language module. In the English module it adds automatically the "apostrophe" for some words like "wasn't", "don't", etc. In Portuguese, we use a lot the "hyphen" in words, like "chamo-me", "fim-de-semana", etc. My problem is that I can't add to the dictionary words with the "hyphen". Other words the swiftkey predicts correctly, without any problem, para words that I've written earlier containing the "hyphen" it doesn't remember at all.
9 votesSwiftKey 4 can now learn hyphenated words. Once you input a hyphenated word using SwiftKey, it will learn it and be able to predict it as a whole next time you type or flow it.

Italian typing errors
I type some letters, I select a word that's not the default one and a space is added. If I then type a colon, a semicolon or quotes (double or single), the space should be removed as happens with full-stop or comma.
Also, words with apostrophe are not handled correctly. For example, "a little bit" in Italian becomes:
un po'
with a trailing apostrophe. The word doesn't get stored as a whole, and if I use prediction on "po" and then the single quote, a whitespace remains between the two as per above scenario. This problem could be at least…

forced capitalization
In some words in Czech language pack, for instace "já" (meaning "I" or else "me"), are always predicted with capital letter, no matter if I delete them from dictionary and add manualy lowercase, they still appear capitalized
I am using HTC Wildfire S, problem is present in all ROMs and Android versions I tried (from GB to JB; CMod/sense/AOKP)
1 voteWe’ve updated the Czech language module and this issue has been solved. Please go to SwiftKey’s Settings > Languages & Layouts → tap on Menu > Update languages. You should now see an ‘Update’ button under Czech in your list of downloaded languages.

Word ending with apostrophe
In Italian we have several words that end with an apostrophe, and SwiftKey does not handle that correctly.
For example, "a little" is un po'. The ending apostrophe is predicted after po and gets a whitespace before it.
28 votesSwiftKey 4 now includes " po’ " in the Italian language pack. To take advantage of this improvement, please ensure upgrade to SwiftKey 4 and download the latest Italian language pack.

Czech dictionary is completely unusable
Did somebody actually try to use the Czech dictionary? Horrible. It also autocompletes words completely different from the typed "beginning"
Like typing "vyzvednul" (a valid word) - gets corrected to "vyzvednout".
This happens even after resetting adaptation and just using a dictionary.
Other words like "ja" (="me") "ty"(="you") are typed capitalised (Ja, Ty) - makes no sense.
Is really nobody using it???
3 votesWe’ve updated the Czech language module and you should notice considerable improvements.
