Can't switch between languages when my asus is connected to the physical keyboard

Hi If i want to switch between languages when my asus is connected to the physical keyboard i click on CTRL+ SPACE but that only works when the asus keyboard is selected before i connect it If the swift keyboard is selected i simply cannot switch languages Can you help me find out how to change the language when swift keyboard is selected
