What is your SwiftKey (smartphone) bug?

auto-capitalized words

I am using a Galaxy Nexus, after using Jelly Bean, my swift key has certain words it defaults to that have capital letters. For example I type "page" in the middle of a sentence and it changes it to "Page". If I add an "s" it goes back to "pages". I long press on the word, it removes it. Go back in, it is back again. The word "site" does the same thing, changes to "Site". "web" to "Web".

I have uninstalled, then re-installed SK. I'm using the latest version from Google play. I've also completely did a device wipe and fresh OS install from a ROM.

Im Using Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Just Upgraded The os Software, And Every Single Freaking Word Is Capitalized, Along With Other Small Keyboard Issues, Had No Dramas Before The Upgrade.

This was happening to me as well. Once I turned off Swiftkey Flow, it returned proper Auto capitalization. So Try turning off swiftkey flow and see if that fixes the issue.

In Spanish it just went FULL RETARD and capitalizes every word I write. Please fix!

The same issue in Czech with many words (like můj->Můj, já->Já, prosím->Prosím, dobrý->Dobrý, ...). It's really annoying and time wasteful effect commented by many people for long months. Please resolve soon to make SwiftKey perfect. Thank you.

Same thing here. Sometimes I'll want to write "Are you home?" and it'll come out as "Are You home?" It's weird.

Same issue here using dual English Norwegian dictionaries. Happens most often to Norwegian words. Some examples from trying random words for 30 seconds: Ser, Gjør, Sør

the same with Dutch language. Happens with the words: hallo (hello), door (by) and enzo (etc.)
deleting the word and manually learning the word without capitalization doesn't work either. really annoying! I now that some languages have rules for capitalization on specific words but the Dutch language doesn't (as long as not at start of sentence or names). They could fix this by disabling all capitalization when turning auto capitalization off in the menu (already existing which doesn't capitalize the first word in a sentence)

I am having the same issue. I just ignore the predictive text and continue typing. Not exactly saving me time, but faster than selecting then trying to select the letter, backspace and replace. Google Nexus i9020a, here.

agreed... in czech i have same problems with word "Já" (translation of "I" in english, so i gues that my be the issue?)

Same problem here on several devices. Words like "door", or "window" are capitalized in the middle of a sentecne all the time, no matter how many times I choose the non-capitalized suggestion on the left. Driving me crazy. It also does this in other languages.

This is a big issue: a person that doesn't understand common capitalization in his native language is somewhat stupid. Swiftkey makes me look stupid.

On a somewhat related note, "Internet" may once have been a proper noun (capitalized), but in popular usage it is not treated as one, so it should not be capitalized.

One possible solution to this bug is to allow a user to delete a proper noun from the dictionary but keep the lower-case version--to delete "Internet" and learn "internet", or to delete "Web" but keep "web".

I'm getting this same extremely annoying bug on my galaxy nexus, why don't you simply listen to customers' suggestions?

Stop capitalizing in the middle if the sentence if the word exists in the dictionary, very simple.

It also happens with some words that I fully uppercase - example, name of organisations which are also words. Then, it always gives me a fully uppercase word in predictions after that.

I have the same problem with the Italian language some words are auto capitalize in the middle of the sentence.... Please fix this is very boring

I have the same exact problem. I am using an old HTC Incredible with CyanogenMod 7.1. It capitalizes the word "As" at the beginning of every sentence without fail. I delete the word, and it cannot give me "as" at the beginning of a sentence. As soon as I re-introduce "as" as a word, "As" comes back. It's just bizarre.

Do you have entries in your address book with "Page"?
I had this problem - I have a friend who's surname is Page, so SwiftKey kept trying to capitalise it. I think!
