lag when typing
Lagging when keyboard is being closed or going back to the home screen.
I'm a very fast typer. But now I have to type very slowly in order for SwiftKey to recognize the key press. It almost always misses the first letters of all my words. Even though I can see that the correct key was pressed. (the key pops out when I press but doesn't appear in the text)
Swiftkey gets slower and slower after months of usage. It is purely a swiftkey issue. Modern hardware like quad-core, 2GB RAM (GT-I9305N, standard swiftkey) and Nexus 10 (tablet swiftkey) both are affected. So it seems kick-ass hardware can't save us from bad coding. Something needs to be done with these slowdowns. This has got so worse, I'm looking for replacement. Please fix this and make it usable again.
Phone lags for a few minutes after opening messages from notification bar, only from last updates. Im using a s3 also predictions not always loading whilst sending texts
It's a great app, but now it lags and takes a while to catch up to how fast I type.
My phone will lag when I'm typing and then it will slow down
Lags like crazy on the Google Drive app on my HTC One X, yet not on the Google Drive app for my Nexus 7.
When I press the home button on my galaxy s 3 the keyboard font stays on my current home screen for a couple of seconds. And when I am composing a text the letter buttons often freeze and freaks out.
A friend of mine actually thought her phone is broken (or became really slow), because it stuttered like crazy. She did not use SwiftKey and I made her switch. I only type in portrait mode because the performance is much better.
So i have to press really hard on the button for it to work, I want my rapid back, this is so laggy and less convenient :-\ feels like an ancient phone and I have the Galaxy nexus, it shouldn't be this way :'(
My SwiftKey keyboard keeps lagging... This issue has to be fixed!
I think there's a minor bug. Sometimes there's a small lag as I'm typing (fast typer) and it enters the value as if it's long pressed. So instead of "yes", it'll put down "y3s". Lol
I just purchased SwiftKey, comiing from the beta. With the same settings, I found it with a little bit of lag when typing. I'm not quick on typing anyway but I found that the keyboard miss some typing, if I press say 5 letters, I get 3 or 4 letters many times (not only on the predictions but even on the first field). Tried disable haptick feedback and typing style with no effects. I didn't find that lag on the beta version. My phone is SGS2 2.3.3 stock. Thanks.
We recently published an update of SwiftKey 188.8.131.52. Reduced lag and better overall performance was one of the many things that was addressed in this release.
In the event that you are experiencing significant lag in that release, please create a new post containing relevant details in our public forum at support.swiftkey.net to bring it to our attention.
Thanks very much.

Very slow and laggy performance in my Nexus 5, issue not resolved.
Was working great a couple of months ago
Why arent they doing anything about this? The entire product which we have bought is completely unusable now. I switch to swiftkey and have lag within 10 minutes of typing or less. I go back to swype and it's perfectly fine. Swiftkey is the best keyboard but what is the point if it is completely unusable!?
I have moto x , 4.4.4, and has much lag between the keys after update to 184.108.40.206. I taked off the APP. Please adjust this issue

My SwiftKey is sticking and is so slow these days. I have a galaxy s5 and I'm using the paid version of the app. Why is this happening now?
I've noticed that the lag mainly comes into play when I attempt typing too fast & of I hit delete several times in a row.
I have to exit out of the text and go back into the draft to finish it.
Please fix I'm using a Moto x running 4.4.4
On my Nexus 4 lag when typing are very very revolting. Please fix!!
Lag kept getting worse. Loved swift key but unfortunaly had to stop using it until this is resolved.
I think you have a serious bug on your hands here guys. I've had multiple people that also use the that the recent updates have made the lag unbearable. Something is really wrong.

I have already installed the latest version but this one week it become lagging when I type using swift keyboard
Love using Swiftkey but that lag just makes it un-useable. I am on a Galaxy Note 4 and I get no lag with Swype app. Going to have to switch to that. Please get this fixed as I don't want to delete this app.
The lag on swiftkey is ridiculous. I mean, it can take 10-15s for whatsapp to show what i have written. Using an Oppo Find 7 - have gone back to the OPPO Swype keyboard as swiftkey is just awful now.,
Evan -your update 18.104.22.168 does not work. Swift key is still laggy, even as I type this message. The fact that you are now offering swift key as a free app demonstrates that you have not fixed the problem. The app was pay - for - play until you changed to a free app 3 months ago. There is only one reason for this -your users are defecting to other keyboards ...which i predicted a year ago.
We love your application ...still the best prediction engine on the market. But the lag is unbearable. Suggestion -rewrite the app , fire your development staff . Start over. You have about 12 months before you become obsolete
