What is your SwiftKey (smartphone) bug?

lag on Droid RAZR

On Droid RAZR, you can't type quickly. The keys on the keyboard recognize and highlight, but quick typing doesn't work. Keys get missed. Didn't Have this issue on my droid x.

I'm having all of these problems as well....Very laggy, letters not registering, sometimes the keys will light up but nothing at all will appear typed. Very disappointing. And odd, I didn't see any of these problems until I purchased the app. Maybe I should go back to the betas....

Yes, I have this problem on my Razr Maxx. Words get deleted as I'm typing and random keys won't press as I'm typing. Very very buggy.

Same problem with my Motorola Razr, too...
Please fix this problem. Swiftkey is the best keyboard ever!

Same here... I really love Swiftkey, that's why I bought the full version, but is not working properly on my Razr!!!! Please help!!!

I am having the same issue. Already contact them about it. I just changed from the Sensation were it was working perfectly. This is definitely a software issue. I'm sure an update on Swift Key will fix this.

Yep, same issue on my Droid RAZR. Can't type fast. Huge amount of lag. For example, typing "name" I usually end up with "nme" or "ame". It can't register my strokes fast enough. Makes me sad, because I loved this keyboard on my Droid Incredible. I could type with my eyes closed. Swype and Stock keyboard are better than this. I tried to leave a comment on the market to warn RAZR users from purchasing this, but it wouldn't let me.

Using pro on my Samsung Charge, SLOWS down touchscreen alot. Seems to be using too much RAM. Any way to reduce RAM usage?

Having the same issue. Especially bad on WhatsApp, occasional freezes in the default SMS app, but smooth as butter on IMO messenger.

i have a droid razr and have this exact problem too. please fix, such an amazing keyboard

      • AnonymousAnonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Exact same thing for me on my Razr... So disappointing because I love the keyboard but WAY too frustrating to continue to use when words disappear if you type to fast... Defeats the purpose of getting a keyboard alternative..

I have the same issue on my g2x. I can't type quick cause keys get missed. Type so much quicker with the stock android keyboard. Please fix this.

Agree on this point completely. Just bought swiftkey on my razr. If i try to type quickly, the keyboard won't accept all of my typings, and sometimes completely erase a word that i'm trying to type. Surely did not have this problem on my HTC G2.

        Swiftkey team, please respond..

Same issue on my Motorola Atrix 2. It's to the point of being almost unusable. The only "multi-touch" features that work are if I hold down the shift key, then I'm able to cap each letter, etc. As far as actual typing goes, if I hit two keys at the same time, then they aren't registered. I type entire words but none of the letters get entered unless I hit them slowly and deliberately. I have "Rapid" typing style selected.

I have to agree, got my Droid Razr today, and if I use SwiftKey I have to type very slow or sometimes the word I am typing just disappears, or it lags terribly

I too suffer from this, very difficult to use the keyboard now.
Seems like the multi-touch does not work
