Keyboard not popping up / appearing when I try to type.
Galaxy s3 mini on jelly bean. Latest version of swiftkey 3.
The keyboard does not appear / pop up sometimes when i click / press in a field. This happens in all fields as far as i can tell (messaging, whatsapp, browser).
I have to go into settings and change the keyboard back to the stock keyboard. Use the stock keyboard for a bit, then change the default keyboard back to swiftkey and it starts working again.

I get something similar. But instead the keyboard pops up and when I hit the keys nothing gets inputted into the text box. However I do see swiftkey trying to autocorrect the word I am typing in. This happens a LOT to me and I have to either hard reboot or switch keyboards and then back.

Same problem with my S3 Mini. Every time I shut the phone down and start it up again, the Swiftkey keyboard will not pop up. The only solution I have found is to go into Phone Settings - Language and Input and disable Google Voice Typing. This works, but the next time I switch the phone on again, Google Voice Typing (which fills me with uninterest) is activated again and Swiftkey refuses to pop up: the setting has been "forgotten" or overriden. This was so baffling I actually took the phone back to the shop for repair: they "repaired" it by resetting everything and carrying out a firmware update, but the problem was still there. In the end, we disabled Swiftkey and reverted to the (very ordinary) Samsung keyboard. Frustrating, because Swiftkey is othewise very good.
I was running (paid) Swiftkey 4.0.1.128 and am running Android 4.1.1.

The S3 Mini, trial version of SK worked perfectly, since PAYING for the full latest version and like many others have commented, the keyboard keeps disappearing every time the phone is switched off then back on later. Sometimes an uninstall and reinstall is the only way to get it working again. How is it that the trial version worked and PAID version doesn't, very annoying.
Please can someone at SK advise if they working on this problem and when will this be patched up?? Till then i've un-installed SK and will continue to try other keyboards, pity cause i really enjoy SK.

Same problem on my Galaxy S 2. It's rooted, unlocked and OS upgraded to 4.0. Don't know if that has anything to do with it but Swiftkey used to work. When the Flow version was introduced my paid app stopped working. Now even with the latest 4.0.128 version of SwiftKey it still doesn't work. I have to use the stock Android keyboard which I really don't like. I would be happy just going back to the version before Flow that actually worked and stopping all updates.

Hello..Same issue here with Quickoffice.
I am using a HTC Inspire 4g with the 4.2.1operating system. The Swiftkey version I am using is 4.0.0.106.I am having issues with the Swiftkey keyboard appearing when I use the spreadsheet in Quickoffice. I just uninstalled Swiftkey to try the default key board. It seems to work ok with the Android default keyboard. So it’s looking like there is some kind of conflict with the new Swiftkey and Quickoffice. I have been using Quickoffice and Swiftkey for a while with no issues until this latest update. -

Same problem here after each reboot (Galaxy S3 Mini).
Quickfix: open your Swiftkey-settings from the settings menu (not the app launcher). Then it should work till your next reboot.Greetings,

I suppose it's problem of S3 mini. The same problem appears with other keyboards (Thumb keyboard, Smart keyboard PRO) except the default Samsung keyboard.

Very irritating, got the same problem, can't believe I paid for this! Don't download rather use Samsung continuous input under settings under default keyboards. It's basically the same thing.
