Turn Prediction Bar Off (option)
Der shud b an option to manually switch off d autocorrect, n still keep d suggestions on. D unavailability of dis option wil make ppl switch to another keyboard
Insert option On/Off por prediction, thank you.
Some people do not use suggestion bar placed over the keyboard. Please add an option to completely disable it to free some screen area.
Pouvoir choisir si l'on veut mettre la correction automatique
It is the one thing that separates this from perfect keyboard, so please, let us do little more customisation.
I really like the keyboard but I don't like it to predict what I write. people would know what I normally write! maybe I would have to change it for that, but I don't want to :-(
I do not want the keyboard to predict input in either virtual or hard mode.
You should put an option to show or hide the word suggestions bar.
can you add the option to remove the predictions please
I Want to turn auto correct off, and just choose words when I want.
It would be great if there was a switch / button to go into "Absolute Mode" so that there's no predictions, or auto puncuations and spaces - This would be useful for typing web URL's, or for example just trying to say "There's also a .com address" - Currently I have to do two .. the "com" and then back through to delete the unwanted characters.
Also, it would be useful for abbreviations, physical addresses, things like "e.g." or "p.s."
I woulf like to be able to yurn OFF predictive texts.
I dont use it at all. It is very distracted and annoying.
prediction are really annoying to me
So when you want to type a web address, some lines of program code, or even smileys or whatever, you can just hit this button to enter character-based input mode (turning off any word completion, auto spaces, auto punctuation and so on). Then when you are done, you could press the button again to turn word-based input back on.
This button would not even have to be on the main keyboard. A long-press action on one of the existing buttons would be enough.
I don'd use predictions.
So that for android phones who has a small screen can save some spaces and read the previous message as well as allowing the costumer to have the full personalization of the app.
Please make an option to add or to remove the prediction and suggestion from the setting
I would really like a way to turn off predictions
The ability to hide the suggested words in settings, and I use this a lot and I don't ever use the suggested words, the it completes flawlessly, and it seems a bit big with the row.. If you implement this I'd be very excited and happy to have bought this product
I want to stop the predictions completely! I just want the split layout! Also del and enter keys moved 1 row up will make things a bit more natural. When setting key height to max, the keys will appear big at first and then, when the prediction row appears keys get back to smaller size!
As title says...
I just love the keyboard, but i am not a fan of predictions, since it takes more time for me looking at them (in croatian) than typing the entire sentence by myself.
It would be nice if there is an option to disable prediction bar to save screen space, because in small screen phone like mine (xperia mini pro), i need more space to see what am i typing... And more support for hard keyboard, a notification to see that capslock and blue square keys are on or off, and also please make the region and Sym keys usable... :)
Just Add a button, or at least an option to disable all autocorrect and prediction features.
I like the idea of TouchPal currently does have to swipe the space to turn on/off all good things: becoming a dumb, conventional soft-keyboard which some times needed to input email, password, username, etc.
I live in Luxembourg and write regularly in french, english and german but also luxembourgish. As luxembourgish is not used by a lot of people please add a "No prediction" key so that we will be able to use your predictions for common languages but be able to switch to a no prediction mode quickly.
A tick option to hide the perdition bar
stop predictions with a button. in same website it make problems check this site. http://www.mts.com.ua/eng/sendsms.php#a. it double write laters.
Although phones tend to have larger screens I think that the space that status bar uses could be more appropriate for other things like having bigger keys or bigger textbox...
Could you please make an option to turn the prediction off?!
I think an ealier version had the possibility to do so, because I used the app on my last phone without prediction.
Prediction is nice, but I would like to decide if I use it or not.
Hello, I would like an option to turn off prediction.
Option to remove word bar from top of Keyboard but still use the predictive engine on so it gives you the middle word (its usually the right one)
I like the keyboard, but I don't use the prediction. I want to turn it off to save screen space. Also I don't like it storing things that I type(ie learning dictionary) .
For me these are blocking issues.
I am tired of prediction bar
Predict this. I just install this app and uninstall after 15 minutes.
I just uninstalled it, because of that prediction....
I agree strongly that there should be easy an option/checkbox to turn predictive typing on/off. I may unintelligible because of this shortcoming.
I tried the xposed module and it works. I got rid of it but hey guys we are just few that ask for removal compared with the huge mass that uses it. The prediction is their pride and glory so analyzing the statistics they decided not to do it. Period.
These are ******* douch bag app admin of owner **** you
I will start using Swiftkey again if they provide an option to turn off predictions completely. Predictions in Swiftkey have become to aggressive.
Until the latter option becomes available, the Android Lollipop keyboard will continue to be my preferred keyboard.
It's a real shame to have to uninstall when I really like the interface. Can you email me when you add a setting to disable the prediction bar? :-)
So many peeps complaining and they wont even answer. Bye swiftkey, you suck
I cite Nico G:
I just installed Swiftkey. So far I really like it. Except that it has an annoying predictions bar that apparently can't be turned off. Worst is that it can't be turned off even though people have been asking for it for 3 years!!! That says a lot about the devs.
I know enough. Goodbye SwiftKey!

This feature is terrible important; especially for small devices with a small hight. In fact all prediction is turned off --> the prediction bar is simply useless.

Guyz you can disable it install Xposex installer and in search find Swift and look for disable predicfion download it and activate it nd get a rid of prediction bar :)
some of us just want the number row and left right arrows, also save the battery by not having predi"tive text burning up the cpu! also backslash should be on main qwerty not hidden, perhaps on key m with the forward slash?

Please how to turn off this stupid prediction bar

This bar sucks even when typing into this comment
Some phones got smaller display like s3 mini. Or some peoples got fat fingers.
If you selling something you must think about customers satisfaction and ideas.
Add a simple check box for disable stupid prediction bar.

I don't understand why there's so much criticism and anger about the prediction bar in this suggestion, for which I get updates every days in my mailbox hoping that a dev answers it ?
The predictions and the predictions bar are the soul of Swiftkey. They make it the best Keyboard on android. If you don't get that, please just pass your way, because the thread isn't about that.
Could we please come back to the first idea of the poster of this suggestion :
quote: "there should be a key that can easily turn it off in case you need it for just a second."
"for just a second"... this is the point !!
As an example : Sometimes, websites are not well html coded and some fields aren't recognized as password's field or email. It is annoying and could be tricky to type a password with predictions turned on.
We would love you to add a little button to turn it off for 2 secs !
