Please add the Chinese Mandarin language, cause I'd really love to have it on the swiftkey keyboard, so i wouldn't have to switch to my default keyboard to be able to write in Chinese.
Add chinese language.
Include chinese pinyin support in future language pack updates. I have many chinese friends who do not understand English so having the ability to type out messages in Chinese would be a great benefit. The default android keyboard is able to type chinese, hopefully swiftkey will support the mandarin soon.
Is it possible to have pinyin character in SwiftKey
Couldn't find a Chinese language/input option!
Please also include multiple input methods, such as by pin yin or drawing characters
All keyboards I have used before all comes with input option of mandarin Chinese pinyin. This is really important as your app is available worldwide. As an Asian customers I would like to suggest this and hope to see it available in the next version.
it's very troublesome to be switching between keyboards! Please add Chinese to input list! i stay in the UK and iI have totype Chinese to my girlfriend hence iI have to keep switching!
Need Chinese input to be a better function. Many Chinese users out there.
When can this thing happen? For now I can only use this nice keyboard to type English..
Hi there. Could you please include chinese language pack? I love the keyboard and it is by far the best one in the market but i couldn't write chinese which is a little pity. If chinese is included i will be happy to download (: thanks.
Obviously as a company that wants to be successful China is the largest market in the world! Hello, even Skype has Chinese
Hope there will be Chinese
My parents know chinese language only, I need it to communicate with them
It would be really nice if there was a Chinese language input, this way I could chat with my Chinese friends.
I tried this keyboard with free version I love it but if it support all types of Chinese inputs, I will love more
I hope can type this app with chinese i like this app but no chinese its really unconvieniantly
Have an update to input the chinese language
Please add Chinese language :'(
Please try to work on adding Chinese Pinyin. There are many Chinese users out there dying to buy your app if you would do so... :) Good for business!!!
please, add chinese as soon as possible!
Please support Chinese Ping Yin input. It's useless to me if I can't switch between Chinese and English input.
Would be nice if the keyboard supported emojis and Chinese pinyin.. Also maybe a function to customize the size of the spacebar
Perhaps using Hanyu Pinyin as an input method
I believe a lot of Chinese users are waiting for this update!
GIVE me Chinese PLEASE.
I really think chiese prediction would be really great for swiftkey!
Hey guys, I love this keyboard. It would be perfect if there's Chinese keyboard I will buy the full version
Please add Traditional Chinese language pack and allow easy switch between English and Chinese keyboard
Nowsaday a lot of people using chinese input for typing, I feel harassment when I want to use Chinese for typing because there is no Chinese support are available, I hope Swiftkey X could add in
Chinese support would be perfect for all the Chinese speaking people.
Please support Chinese. I can't wait to use it typing in with Chinese
Was just curious if there would be oen coming cause I really like this keyboard but I have to switch to another one that I don't like but the have the Chinese keyboard.
it's really hard for people who need to type English and Chinese.. if people can swap between chinese keyboard and SwiftKey keyboard by simply clicking on the SwiftKey button, it would be great.
Chinese language support is badly needed.
Just 1 thing, add traditional chinese language pack please
How to change the typing method? And. Have the chinese layout?
Add support for Chinese and other Asian languages :-) when Chinese is added this will probably be my primary keyboard.
Add an Chinese language pack.
We are looking forward to see Chinese keyboard option for this great app
Please add Chinese support.
Chinese. Chinese. Chinese. Chinese.

chinese mandarin is not a written language.
I really enjoy using your SwiftKey keyboard, but I live and work in mainland China and need to communicate in Chinese and English via email or text. But unfortunately there is no Chinese language for SwiftKey... Since a third of the world's population is Chinese I would have thought that the Chinese language would be part of the keyboard... Is there any way to update this?

change to TouchPal X keyboard. Unless they do something significant, which is VERY unlikely seeing the fact that this issue haven't been solved since 2011. Period, and thanks for the contribution so far SwiftKey.

It would be a great idea! And also another feature that can write those characters as if to draw them. I'm also a huge fan of swiftkey !
Greedy Selfish SwiftKey commented
I echo everyone's comments here, ten-fold. I think it's a complete joke (on us) that SwiftKey still hasn't provided Chinese. I believe these guys actually could have done this a long time ago, but has been holding back. Perhaps they've been wondering how to monetize SwiftKey for China/Chinese given that Google Play (app store) is not available in China and/or that Chinese may not pay for just another keyboard (e.g., that probably doesn't have any additional benefits vs. other Chinese keyboards). If this is the case, I believe they have been totally ignoring their current/loyal users' while they figure this out.
I also think it's a total joke that SwiftKey was profiled in the New York Times this week, with one of its co-founders, Ben Medlock, quoted as saying, "China represents the next billion smartphone users," (implying that SwiftKey is actually focused on China), with the article also stating that SwiftKey, "soon plans to introduce a Chinese edition." We've been hearing this for years. Yeah, "Soon." A few years and counting...
Companies like Swiftkey are, themselves, a joke. They want to come off as a holier-than-thou tech innovator (e.g., "making the world a better more efficient place"), yet actually disadvantage their loyal (i.e., PAYING!!!) customers while they figure out out their future gameplan for more $$$. Trust me, they could have released Chinese years ago (just like every other also-ran keyboard developer already has). Instead, they've just chosen to sit on it despite pleas by its paying users.
These guys are no better than any other greedy selfish company who doesn't care about their past customers. I hope their plan for China backfires and all the Chinese recognize that these guys are just another bunch of foreign devils trying to profit off of the local population! Haha.

Finally SwiftKey, I hope this is the simplified Chinese pin yin support
I tried to register a SwiftKey account; however, in "primary_lang", there are only "Chinese-HK" and "Chinese-CN". Where is Taiwan??? We use different input than those two.
Or maybe we should just stop finding any interest on this app @@

Although your app is now available free now
I still hope you could support Chinese and Japanese input..
Since I use both of them...

bopomofo + pinyin options pls :)
swiftkey racist toward chinese users?
Hey Evan, I would like to beta test Mandarin Chinese but I get this error. I hate switching keyboards, but I use swiftkey less and less because of the lack of pin yin input

This has been a consistent frustration of mine. I love Swiftkey, but I'm getting tired of switching keyboards every time I need to type in Mandarin Chinese.
Let's speed this up!
