Long press on any typed word to get suggestions popup
The built-in keyboard in ICS has a feature that lets you long-press any word you've written and get a popup with the originally typed word and a list of predictions. I think it would be a very useful feature for SwiftKey as well.
In SwiftKey 4, if you tap on any previously-written word, SwiftKey will move the cursor to the end of the word and present you with 3 options for that word.
If you have previously purchased SwiftKey 3, SwiftKey 4 is a free upgrade. If you have not yet purchased SwiftKey, it is on sale at 50% off for one week. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey

Please don't move the cursor to the end of the word, allow to put it precisely where I tapped on the first tap. Vote this suggestion to support:

Everyone voted for this feature: consider voting for a more popular request asking for the same thing: http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/116689-1-swiftkey-ideas-/suggestions/2714291-what-if-you-could-long-press-on-a-prediction-to-ge

The currently available 2 predictions are not enough. I would like a drop down list of suggestions, like in Samsung default keyboard. It displays suggested words in at least in 3 rows, which has a slider, so can display more than 3 rows.
Please implement this feature.
Thanks!

Kinda funny how the dev commented on this one, but maybe it would be a good idea to merge the two: http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/116689-1-swiftkey-ideas-/suggestions/1877511-double-tap-on-word-should-select-whole-word-for-de
By the way, I personally think a double tap would work better, as long press is typically used for copy paste.

Can we PLEASE bump this up? This is one of the most important features that has always been missing and it's very frustrating! It doesn't even have to be a long press, windows 7 has a short press option and it works amazingly. I don't like comparing platforms but this is one idea that's really good and works well.

Basically, this function is there now. Problem is that when you change the new word will be inserted instead of overwrite.
--> So please overwrite when changing written Words!

You don't need to long press words because the program learns the words you commonly use. Hence the reason why swiftkey is so accurate. It allows you to be inaccurate not just plain sloppy. Erasing a word is a matter of a swipe and deleting letters give you a pop up choice anyhow.

Add extra predictions to copy paste menu so functionality isn't lost. Or command key combination of some sort.

But I don't want to lose the option to copy or paste when I long press a word on the screen

I wish this idea was on the very top of the list and had way more votes. As great as the swiftkey predictions are they aren't perfect and can't read minds... yet. Correcting a word would be much easier if u could just select it and get a list of alternatives.
