Condensed mode for one handed operation (slide all keyboard to one side).
Single hand mode will reduce the size of the keyboard and justify it to the left or right (depending on settings).
Let me move keyboard inward so my left thumb can reach the letters A and Q and the shift arrow.
I love love love this product, by the way. Couldn't work without it.
Enable keyboard to be shifted to left or right as to accommodate large screen size on galaxy note. 2
One handed for s note 2
I'm using the Note II and the Note I before that. A keyboard that allows single handed use albeit left or right handed. Samsung has a kb that does that, but I still prefer Swiftkey.
have an option to condense the qwerty layout to one side of the screen
Same as ICS where you can have a compact layout on the left or the right. I have a Samsung galaxy note and the reach on SwiftKey is too long to use one hand.
It would be nice if there were a small version of the full keyboard for single-handed operation in landscape mode. On 10" screens, neither keyboard layout is convenient if holding the tablet up in one hand.
SwiftKey 4.3 is now out (available as an update/to purchase from Google Play, Amazon App Store and AndroidPIT ) – including a compact mode for one-handed typing or flowing.
How do I get rid of the smaller keyboard for one handed operation?
Good work guys. Finally I can use this keyboard again!
Great. The lack of this feature is why I stopped using the app and went back t to Swype.

I think this might be the one. Good work, Swiftkey.
I'd like it better if it were a little squatter. I'm running it "Compact" sized to the second-largest setting on my Galaxy Note II, and it's a good width, but at that size, it seems a little taller than the layout I had with the previous version. I'll likely get used to it, though.
YES!! Thank you so much! I'm back to swiftkey!
Just upgraded to the galaxy note 3 and I miss SwiftKey, but I just can't use SwiftKey on the note 3, keyboard is just too big
Please add this! It is very important on Phablet devices!

Definitely needs support for one hand typing for phablets. Galaxy note 2

I also have the same issue. I have an Xperia Z Ultra and it's impossible to swipe with one hand due the size of the phone. I really need the condensed mode. The stock keyboard has this option, but the main reason I use android nowadays is the swipe type of keyboard.

My guess is the reason they are not putting this feature in is because samsung uses the technology of swiftkey in there keyboard. Can be my only guess considering many other keyboards are already adding this feature. However I need the prediction of swift it works so well. Please add this I have been wanting since I got my not forever ago.
Yes this is huge didn't even know it existed until I picked up a LG g2 it's a brilliant idea especially with the phones getting so large. And the swipe left or right is awesome as sometimes I want to use 2 hands and sometimes 1. I currently go back and forth from the LG keyboard to swift key just for this one handed feature

Have been wanting this for about 6 months now for using on my note 2 similar to how the default keyboard puts the keys slightly to one side so you can reach all keys with your thumb and use the phone with only one hand

@Sarah Reynolds. What's taking so long to implement this? You already support changing key sizes, so shrink the keys sufficiently and the gaps between them, and right/left adjust their positions. I can't imagine this would take more than a week to implement, and another 2 weeks to test. This issue has been open since Oct 2012 !
Really on note2 this sensational swiftkey keyboard can only be comfortably used either both hands landscape or backing the phone up with the second hand in portrait mode. single handed even with my gorilla hands is still a risk of dropping it! And I love my note2 -> maybe soon note3 - and those phones have a single hand modus built in out of the box! But with a much worse native typing behaviour than swiftkey ...
I can't use this keyboard without this feature... you guys really need to seep it up and implent it like now!

I just purchased it for my note2, got it refunded within the first fifteen minutes because it didnt have the one handed operation. that realllly sucks!

I've just installed this on my galaxy note 10.1 and I can't believe this isn't an option. The keyboard is just too big for swiping, especially in landscape mode.
I can only add that I'm happy to see that so many people voted for this.
To be honest, I really missed the Samsung "side keyboard" when I started using the note2 (I came from a S2) so I really wanted to have it on SK, but after a week I realized that I still use the note 2 with two hands most of the time, so it was less than a problem. However, in situation when you have only one hand available, typing is practically impossible - without risking the phone to slip out of your hand.
Why are guys taking so much time to implement this feature? When the galaxy note 3 comes out I'll probabily buy one and sell my galaxy s3... How am I supose to use swiftkey on a note 3 without one handed mode?
Daniel Gerson commented
I just paid for swiftkey assuming that this was implemented. I'm going to ask for a refund it's too difficult to type on note2. But when you do implement this feature, please let us specify the extent of the useable space (we al have different sized hands). Samsung's default is unnecessarily cramped.
