Bring back the agressive SmartSpace that was in the beta before .244
With the betas before .244, I could type entire 10+ word sentences without hitting the space bar until the end, and this was the biggest reason why I could type much faster than with any other keyboard. Since .244 I noticed that after about 6 words it seems to just give up and the middle prediction lumps everything together as a single word. Before the update I could type entire sentences without looking, now I have to force myself to hit the space bar every 5 or 6 words to make sure that it at least enters the words it has predicted to that point before it lumps them together and i have to backspace halfway through what I have typed. This negates the time saved with skipping the spacebar.
We removed the “autocommit” part of SmartSpace (where the first word of a long chain is broken off and you can continue to type without spaces) because it made it impossible to type some email addresses and URLs.

As John Tyler mentioned earlier, I don't see why this can't be implemented as an on/off feature. Completely removing a feature that only causes issues in certain circumstances is highly illogical and makes the entire system counter intuitive. Instead of either knowing to space between each word, or knowing not to space at all, we're now forced to estimate how many words we can get away with typing before we have to randomly hit the space bar.
To provide an example, auto insert with space makes it impossible to type a lot of blank spaces between words, but that didn't make you remove the feature completely. Instead, when the odd situation occurs where I need to insert a lot of random spaces, I can turn the feature off. I would like to see the same thing done with autocommit, because like auto insert on space, it's one of the features that makes Swiftkey the best keyboard on the market.

I completely agree but unfortunately there are issues with 2000 votes that still haven't been addressed. So I occasionally wonder if the swiftkey developers actually use their own product or listen to their users. They seem to pick and choose random features to add based on how compatible they are with 95 different languages. How about making a perfect product in a handful of major languages and broaden your language models after the fact? Just very frustrating how little customization is allowed. I love the aggressive smart space but it was toned down because of a few squeaky wheels who happened to be in the right place at the right time. No matter how many comments I made on the forums about enhancements and bugs they seemed to fall in deaf ears. Guess we'll have to keep our fingers crossed that someone actually reads this.

Completely agree. Possible configuration options might be:
- SmartSpace on / off
- SmartSpace Moderate / SmartSpace Aggressive / off
- number of words before SmartSpace "gives up", where 0 = off -

The change really irritates me. Because i am always having to backspace, i lose more time than if i just used spaces and it didnt have the SmartSpace feature. Now granted I do want the old style back, but I want them to put an option to disable SS for people who dont want it also. As somebody else said, they come to a compromise that satisfies nobody. The people who dont want SS dont like it because it is still there, and the ones who love SS dont like it because they crippled the great new feature.

Thanks for the support, if you know anybody else wanting this here, let them know about this and get them to vote!

Agreed, this makes typing so much more efficient rather than having to figure out when to hit the space bar. Additionally, I don't see how the inclusion of this feature would be detrimental to any users who do like to hit the space bar occasionally.
