There actually seems to be a way of disabling predictions - go to application manager and clear SwiftKey's data, which will remove any downloaded laguage pack. Without it, prediction tab is finally gone.
Haven't tested thoroughly though, there may be some notifications telling you to download it anyway, but I'd say that is a small price to pay:)
A dedicated option to remove predictions would still be nice. -

I actually switched keyboards a while back because this feature is not available, and it was first requested a long time ago.

Need an option to SwiftKey settings page that pops up on long pressing 123 to just pause prediction. Like a sandbox mode or so thing where the keyboard acts like a normal non predicting keyboard. Many time swift key is unable differentiate between normal text field and email field hence creating this issue.

After only 5 minutes of use, it's clear that there needs to be an option to disable text predictions. Putting up with it is one thing if it's in one language only, but when typing different messages in different languages, this is a nightmare and very frustrating. Alternatively/additionally, each installed language could have its own option to have predictions on or off (and also possibly a separate option for the predictions bar visible or not)....this would be the best option.
Looks like this has been requested over and over, but not implemented. Come on, writing the code for text predictions takes time, but creating an option to disable it should be a very quick thing. This is too frustrating to use, so I'll have to uninstall if this is not solved.

It would be great to be able to disable predictions. My problem is: flow the word "too", but SwiftKey enters "to". In order for me to edit that, I need to click on the incorrect word, then click on the correct word. It would be FAR easier if I flow "too", but "to" enters, but instead of predicting the next word, SwiftKey simply shows me the alternatives for "to".

I agree with all other users to dezactivate the prediction bar, it uses a lot of space and doesn't have a use.

I too will add my vote for allowing predictions to be disabled. I have had to go back far too many times to fix what the keyboard is predicting.

Yes, please let us turn off predictions! There are times when predictions are necessary and not wanted and also times when it is definitely needed.
When I have a keyboard attached to my tablet, I don't need predictions, for example.

I agree with you, there should be 3 simple settings such as:
1 Disable predictions
2 Disable adding space after comma
3 Disable adding space after periodThank you
