This needs to get resolved ASAP. It drive me nuts that I don't have a dedicated microphone.

I agree that there should be an option for the mic button to be a primary button

they have to make a dedicated voice button and i like the idea of of making creating the option to put the menu button as the secondary to a primary voice button, and move the number pad to the secondary of the comma button.

Adding my vote for a bigger (or at least dedicated) voice button. I probalby won't purchase SwitftKey without it. Which is a shame because it is otherwise a great product.

Besides the present state of the voice recognition button, this is a very nice app.

Voice recognition is my primary method of texting. The voice recognition icon will determine whether I purchase and use this app. It's present state is a bother, especially while driving.

I just switched to AI Keyboard after using Swift key for the past six months because of this. I can't deal with having to do a long press while I'm driving to activate voice input

Please add the option to make the voice input key a primary function

Please, just add this feature. In the options or what ever you have to do. But just give us the voice input as a primary button! I've been waiting so damn long for this feature!

        Yep agree!
Make it as setting so people can choose, or another setting to shorten the SpaceBar for a dedicated voice key! :)

Swiftkey 3 user here - Right now the voice button is the secondary option to the comma key and the menu button is the secondary option for the number pad. I'd like to have the option (perhaps an optional setting) to put the menu button as the secondary to a primary voice button, and move the number pad to the secondary of the comma button. Or however you can fit it in so the voice button is a primary, one touch function.

I definately agree. long press for voice button sucks. The menu button does not need to be default. I don't understand how this has stayed this way so long.

I wish I could use all my votes for this. This is the main thing I want from SwiftKey. It's hard using Swiftkey after using the stock Jelly Bean keyboard because of this.

100 % agreed, My ONLY gripe really is having to long press for mic, This would be awesome to make default or at the very least an option.

Please print out and give these comments to the passive aggressive person at the top that long press dress this simple issue.;)
Does anybody understand how difficult it is too keep your finger on the screen for a longpress when you are on the road?? just switch the key around... Please.

Please dedicate a voice button ASAP. It's absolutely necessary to the usefulness of this keyboard

My voice is quick and I haven't had it crash ever. I have had SwiftKey itself crash on my Charge and my Incredible multiple times. And no matter how slow it is, it's still safer when driving since I can just talk and not look at my phone. And the point still remains that most people don't need quick one button access to an options menu. It's absolutely ridiculous that this issue has gone completely ignored by the SwiftKey team. Nobody wants you're crappy settings button in place of a voice button. Why on earth would anybody think they would need instant access to a settings menu anyway? At the very least give us the option of making the button one or the other at our own, paying customer, discretion.
