Version 4 - Punctuation and emoticons (smileys, smilies) not predicted anymore.
Recently, I updated from swiftkey version 3 to 4 on my Galaxy S2 on Android 2.3.4. I have the feeling (as I had from 2 to 3) that this update deleted half of the words and phrases swiftkey had remembered. And what's more (and worse!) punctuation and emoticons are no longer predicted. I have a couple of phrases, mainly greetings for beginning and ending texts and emails, that always have the same punctuation and emoticons.
E.g. Best regards, myname. =)
or Love, yours myname. :*Before the update, those phrases were predicted almost from the first letter on. Now swiftkey…
716 votesHi everyone.
We chose to stop predicting punctuation as in most cases it is a waste of a prediction space (that could be used for a word) when all the common punctuation can be accessed with a single tap or slide.
We realise that smileys are an exception here, so we’d like to hear your comments on what situations make predicting punctuation worthwhile. Thanks,

Bring Swiftkey to jailbroken iPhones through the Cydia store.
Jailbroken iPhones allow for third party customization and Swiftkey is in high demand with many people willing to pay for this tweak.

Enable swipe to delete in Swiftkey 4 flow mode
Enable swipe to delete in Swiftkey 4 flow mode. Implement the swiping in the spacebar only.
396 votesTo delete word by word when SwiftKey Flow is enabled, just press and hold on the backspace key. The speed of deletion increases as you continue to hold.

No space after username
While using predictions for inputting usernames and email ids, SwiftKey automatically includes a 'space' after selecting the prediction, hence resulting in a wrong username. Please fix this.

After flow show 3 suggestions for the word (instead of showing next word predictions)
At the moment, it only predicts one word when flow mode is on and we use it, or 3 words when we type letter by letter. Why not give us 3 options of words when we use the flow mode? I know once we release the finger only 1 word will be written, but my suggestion is: If it had 3 possible words (1 middle that would be the one chosen if you release at any moment, 1 left, and 1 right) and we could slide our finger to the left word, for example, and release it there, then it…

Don't autocorrect a word when the user backs up and deletes part of it,. People want it: http://redd.it/122sp3
Don't autocorrect a word when the user backs up and deletes part of it.
Whenever SwiftKey autocorrects a word that is almost correct (e.g. "bikes" instead of "bike"), don't autocorrect the word back to "bikes" if the user deletes the 's'.
As of right now, #1 post on Reddit!: http://redd.it/122sp3
3,111 votesThanks for your comments. We want SwiftKey to be the best keyboard out there and understand that it’s frustrating that it doesn’t yet hear you shouting “no, I meant THIS” when you make a change to a word that you have already typed.

Kalq layout
Including the kalq layout of Max Planck Institute would improve typing speed (for the ones willing to use it like myself). http://www.mpg.de/7104427/kalq_keyboard

We all want emoji and unicode. Why not make it into a whole different language keyboard that we can download?
So, we can have different languages and it's a breeze switching between different language keyboards once you have downloaded. We all want more emoji and Unicode. Especially the black heart symbols, outlined heart symbols that was featured on the stock keyboard. *hint hint* Why don't we just make Unicode keyboard and make it available as language so that we can just swipe the space key to switch?

Own spelling checker dictionary i Swiftkey
Add words to your own userdefined spelling checker dictionary to get rid of typing errors. Swiftkeys correction by learning is not good enough if you by mistake repeat typing wrongly spelled words. It will on the contrary learn wrongly spelled words

Either learn how I use elipses (...) or don't automatically space and capitalizes after them. An option in settings would help.
I rarely end sentences with elipses but I use them frequently. It is very frustrating to have to backspace and shift to correct SwiftKey.

Toggle Diacritics / Normalization of Unicode text output
Can you please implement output text normalization of Unicode text? For example in Central and Eastern Europe people are used to write emails and text messages without punctuation, i.e. in Latin alphabet without special local characters such as "ľščťžýáíéúäňô". They would simply type "gulocka" instead of "guľôčka". It even looks weird if people do type with punctuation.
Implementation of this functionality is quite simple by using Java Class Normalizer. Many thanks.45 votes -

Option to Disable Flow-Through-Space
It is a nice feature, but when I am not trying to use this feature and I sometimes flow too close to the spacebar, SwiftKey starts the Flow-Through-Space feature. This unfortunately requires me to pay closer attention to the prediction and ensure that the Flow-Through-Space feature does not start. I find that it is quicker for me to Flow single words at a time. Thank you & I love SwiftKey!!

Special characters
Samsung keyboard has many special characters such as ♣▼▲★♥♡《》
I would like the ability to have characters like these available, or at least be able to add your own characters from a different keyboard through shortcut keys like the smiley shortcut415 votes -
Condensed mode for one handed operation (slide all keyboard to one side).
Single hand mode will reduce the size of the keyboard and justify it to the left or right (depending on settings).
1,329 votesHi everyone – thank you for your comments (and please keep them coming). We are looking into what changes or additions we can make to our layouts in order to improve the SwiftKey experience on different-sized devices.
