Option to disable auto-space after punctuation and/or prediction
Would really like the option do disable/enable auto-space after punctuation (.,!), particularly period. Would make entering e.g. adresses and version number strings (which I do a lot) much less of a hassle.
And related, an option to do the same for prediction: Some languages, e.g. Swedish, uses composite words (combining word stems/lexemes into one word) extensively.
4,742 votesAuto-spacing is now disabled if:
you start to enter a number
you write www. (indicating that you are entering a URL)
you use the @symbol (indicating that you are writing an email address) -

Physical keyboard issues / hardkb
1. While using SwiftKey on physical keyboard, the "symbols" key won't open symbols chart
2. When I'm using physical keyboard, I can't tell if I'll type in regulars/caps/symbols. Stock keyboard displays statusbar icon (A, Aa, a, blue square [used for alternative ket functions] key pressed, blue square key permanently pressed). There should be similar feature.3,189 votes -
Don't autocorrect a word when the user backs up and deletes part of it,. People want it: http://redd.it/122sp3
Don't autocorrect a word when the user backs up and deletes part of it.
Whenever SwiftKey autocorrects a word that is almost correct (e.g. "bikes" instead of "bike"), don't autocorrect the word back to "bikes" if the user deletes the 's'.
As of right now, #1 post on Reddit!: http://redd.it/122sp3

What if you could long-press on a prediction to get different forms of the word? / word variations / word variants
What if long-pressing on a prediction gave you a menu with different forms of the word. Many times I see SwiftKey predict the right word, but in the wrong form (Ex: predict, predicted, prediction, predicts), and I have to type it out.

dedicated punctuation. bring back exclamation mark and question mark
The recent update spoilt the core functionality of the original SK. It slows down the typing speed when you guys hide exclamation and question mark!
1,903 votesThere’s no need to longpress to access exclamation and question mark from the new punctuation button. Just tap for . slide quick left for ! and slide quick right for ?
See our how-to video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUi-CtciwMk
We’re sure once you get used to it you’ll be typing even quicker than before. -

Add the option to stop swiftkey from adding every word to the dictionary automatically (incognito)
I really think that each one of those keyboards, swift x, smart keyboard pro and swype has a big problem, one you can't delete words from the dictionary and one you can't stop it from learning wrong words as you type. I think the request feature is pretty simple to implement and i see no reason not to do it. which ever one of these keyboards fixes this problem they would be the winner and i would that keyboard. My favorite option out of all of these would be if Swift X was to give me the option to stop…

Add an option to remove the text box that comes up in landscape mode, So we can see what we are typing into
Currently if you put the keyboard into landscape, you get a large white text box above the keyboard. This means you can't see the fields you are typing into, select new fields, or see any formatting without switching back to portrait mode.
Go Keyboard lets you do it, it's a common feature for iOS devices, I already have key height at small, makes no difference to the text box.1,460 votesThanks for letting us know that you’d prefer to see more of the app, even if this makes the text box smaller.

Backspace should return to previous word (Undo function)
When a word is corrected but wasn't required to be, the user should be able to go back to the original word by pressing backspace

Condensed mode for one handed operation (slide all keyboard to one side).
Single hand mode will reduce the size of the keyboard and justify it to the left or right (depending on settings).

Typing a web address is a pain
Typing an URL is quite a pain: Www. SwiftKey. Com
It shouldn't be too hard to detect if a user is typing a Web address or an email address and adjust the correct functions accordingly?
Would be appreciated :)1,345 votesSwiftkey now goes into “literal mode” after you have typed @ because it knows you are typing an email address. It will not correct or add spaces after periods.
It will also do this after you type www. because it knows you are trying to type a web address.
Outside of a URL field or an email address box we are currently unable to tell if you are writing an email or a web address before you get to these points.

Learn from text file -- Learn from Whatsapp (Volume 2)
I know that Whatsapp do not offer an API to access their messages. But it is possible to export the history of Whatsapp as an txt-file (you can choose this option in the settings of Whatsapp). It would be great if Swiftkey can analyze this txt file!

Predicted email addresses shouldn't be auto-capitalized
Predicted email addresses shouldn't be auto-capitalized as most people write their email addresses in lowercase letters only.
738 votesWhen you type @ SwiftKey goes into “literal mode” and does not autocorrect or add spaces because it knows that you are writing an email address.
Before you type the @ SwiftKey does not yet know that you are typing an email address.
In text boxes that identify themselves as email address fields SwiftKey does not add capitals or spaces.

Easier way to change language
I usually use 3 languages: Spanish, Catalan and English, and it's not suitable to have enabled all 3 because predictions are not very fast or they are not in the wanted language. (and it get worst with Spanish and Catalan, because they have a lot of similar words) and it's uncomfortable to go to languages and keyboards everytime I chat or send an email to my different contacts.
It would be great to change the language in use just holding space, or with a key, or making swiftkey remembering the language used for each contact,...
