Jelly Bean adds support for the standardized Emojii across the operating system. Being able to easily input these is the biggest barrier to use now. SwiftKey supporting this would be a huge feature.

Hi, I'm currently playing with GO Keyboard, and one wonderful feature is a set of emoji that go beyond the basic :-)
For example: (~_~メ) or •﹏• or ＠(￣-￣)＠
GO keyboard has a great way of changing layout to jump quickly into a dedicated emoji layout. It also allows one to insert many useful unicode symbols that otherwise are hard to enter. Indeed, many of these emoji are simply strings of unicode, and I would imagine a snippets editor and custom strings would be easy to roll into this UI.
I prefer the prediction engine of SwiftKey X, but it is worth investigating some of the excellent UI conventions relating to emoji layout and entry for Swiftkey X. And as a punctuation pedant, a way to enter custom unicode symols, even putting aside the emoji novelty would be an important addition to SKX

I installed your app today to try it out since it has such good reviews. The problem is that it seems to not support the emoji emoticons (search for emoji at the android marketplace).
Since they are just fancy, graphical, smileys I don't know why your keyboard goofs them up but it does. No other keyboard I have tied has an issue with them.
When you choose one it appears for just a half second and then gets turned into what looks like some kind of ascii character or something (square box with a line under it).

You guys are like the "iPhone" for keyboards. The fastest in the market with almost no lag, but for some reason you refuse to listen to your loyal customers. You refuse to add a feature (Emoji) that basically every keyboard in the market already offers. You guys have an amazing keyboard but you are beginning to become outdated by todays standards. I hate that I have to switch keyboard because I really enjoyed Swiftkey. Hopefully one day you will listen to your customers and pay attention to that fact that this has been part of the top 5 requests of your users for the past 2 years, and not even one answer from the Swiftkey team.

i cant believe this keyboard cant support emoji. sucks for this app that we all paid for. please add emoji on the next update. lots of us been requesting it. even the some of the free keyboard apps has it. i dont see why you guys couldnt.
