More than three predictions
It would be nice to see 6 or even 9 predictions stacked on top of each other instead of just 3. I seem to have to press one or two letters a lot of the time to see the word I'm looking for. With a customizable few more rows of predictions, I would sacrifice some screen real estate to say what I have to say faster.
We currently do not plan to display more than 3 predictions at a time, as this has been shown to increase cognitive load and slow down typing speed. It is quicker to tap the next letter of your word to bring up better predictions than it is to read through a larger number of predictions.

fbpublic+1 suggested one way to implement this, and I'd add that it could be an optional feature:
"smaller predictions and with non fixed size buttons would be best, and you should also ad an ">>" button to see the next 3, and then again for next 3 maybe! I believe 9 predictions is an entry level!"

Flow really needs this, and it could be hidden under advanced settings.
Would it be possible to implement this without increasing load when the feature is disabled? -

@Robert Serban: You mean pressing a key to get more suggestions? At least I do consider this rather pointless - pressing the next letter is probably more efficient than pressing the "more suggestions" button, and has about the same effort. I'd like more suggestions when the phone is in landscape mode since I am quicker with reading than with pressing keys.

The down arrow like stock keyboard is the solution which will satisfy everyone and don't bother those who are against. Maybe in SwiftKey 7, keep your fingers crossed!...

They'll never do it. Swiftkey has a lack of support when it comes to problems related to other languages that are not English. They just can't understand that not everyone has the same needs.

Multiple suggestions is a must for some languages where the same word has multiple endings depending on the sentence.
English language is really simple and probably 3 suggestions are really enough.I would like to see more then 3 suggestions option.

Why not leave cognitive load up to us? Make it an option. I really like the one scrollable suggestion line in Smart Keyboard Pro, but want the typo functionality of SwiftKey.

Definitely would be helpful. I don't see how it would be bad as a configurable option!

@Sebi Tromm : what keyboard was it, that offered more predictions? I'd like to try this out myself.
I suppose whether this feature would help or slow down the user heavily depends on the users reading speed, so I still support this suggestion.

I tested another keyboard with more predictions - it slows down my typing, because it was so difficult to find the right word.

Choosing between one scrollable or two lines would be great. Three predictions is good, but more would be better.

I would prefer scrollable one line.

This would be nice as an option.

I think fbpublic+1 has the best idea; it would not sacrifice screen real estate, and the ">>" key would be preferred over the nuisance of scrolling (possibly accidentally entering a prediction we didn't want). And non-fixed size predictions would also allow more in landscape mode.

I think scrolling does not make sense for this. If you scroll you might see the word or might not see the word. But if you type more letters the chances are probably much better that the right word appears with the same number of touches.
It makes much more sense to use more screen space where available - for instance in landscape mode or on larger tablets.

Like a few of the previous comments, I would prefer scrolling or a 'down arrow' type option, rather than another layer which would take up space.
But yes, I think more suggestions are necessary, especially when using non-English languages with very similar word forms.

The number of predictions should be different depending on the orientation of the phone. In portrait mode 3 predictions are good, but in landscape mode this is wasting space - I'd suggest 5 predictions there.

I like the stock android implementation where the bar above the keyboard where predictions are displayed has a down -arrow to show more. Also they show 4 instead of 3 predictions on this bar. I would make that a setting for those who don't want this.

Scrolling or an "expand" button would definitely be the way to go I think. More rows would just get in the way.

this is why I stoppted using swiftkey in favor for another keybord with more suggestions
Implement this and Ill be right back :)
