Add heart symbols and more smilies.

If you could add an opportunity for us to create our own smileys, and have them saved with or replace one of the standard smileys in swift key, it would be really nice!

Maybe emoticons should come sooner before another app offers it and can be purchased somewhere else...

When you long press for the smiley faces, you should be able to customize the type of smiley. face youd like to use like without a nose because the nose looks stupid.

I would like to have an option in the settings to customize/add/remove smiley faces from the "quick smiley" menu (longpress on enter/return). I use a number of faces that arent in there and i use almost none of the others... Also i dont put any dash as a nose, like ALL of your smiley faces have. So i would like a customizable "quick insert" menu where we could put hearts <3 as well or whatever we wish.

Find a way to treat punctuation as letter characters in certain 'words'? Also, I don't like the long press for an emote, I can type o.o in about 1/5th the time of a long press

It will be amazing if anyone can customize its smiley page (long press on enter button) on its own SK3.

I would love to be able to add my own smileys to the smiley menu.

When you hold the enter key and the smiley box pops up it would be really cool if in the settings you can change the smileys to what you want. :) customize them.

There should be a way to customize the smileys as seen in e.g. smart keyboard.

I dont use halv of the smileys that are in there, but would like a couple of my own. It shouldn't be too hard to add this function

Just that. So simple and suggested for so long time ago. Don't know why not implemented yet.

Make an emoticon app for swiftkey to make it funnier and easy at the same time to expres how you think or feel!

Google and every other app uses the forward-slash instead. :-/

Many of these apps, like text-messaging apps and Gtalk and other messaging apps will replace these text smileys with icons. Everything else works, but they will not replace the back-slash, only forward-slash. Can you please change your option to show a forward-slash instead? That would be nice. Thanks! :-)

Just more convenient based on typing style

Not everyone uses the same type of smilies or emoticons. Swiftkey would definitely improve their user experience if they provided the ability to change the smilies/emoticons used rather than the stock android options

Increase the amount of smileys, and especially the horizontal ones, do it like with the languages, switch from a normal keyboard to a smiley keyboard by swiping the enter bar, so you have a lot of smileys as a keyboard

Everyone has a different emoticon vocabulary, but today the emoticon menu has the same set of generic emoticons for everybody! Since SwiftKey learns from a user's typing history, why not learn their favorite emoticons, too, and put them in the palette for easy access?

It's very nice to have a smiley button, but I never use it because none of the smilies are the ones I usually use. I'm sure a lot others feel like this too, and it would be very nice with something simple to replace the standard smilies.

There are some smileys i use frequently that are hard to access, and i would love to be able to replace smileys that are there by default. If not, PLEASE add a heart(<3) to the default list. Many thanks, the app is awesome! (Running the newest beta as of 16-06-2012)

I think it would be good if you could alter/personalise the emotions you can select by long pressing the return key!

When you long-press the enter key (bottom right) you get a menu with smileys. It would be amazing to have an option to customize what smileys are on the keys.

I think It would be great to have settings for fonts and smilies, I have seen them before but don't know how to do it with my phone without switching ROMs. With all the technology it should be easy for guys like you to fix this :-)

I think you should be able to create your own smileys. For example I often use this :) or <3 and it takes too long on this keyboard.

Please allow the option to change the "smiles" on a long return press. I don't like my smiles with noses.

I think it would be aweseome if you could choose which smileys show up when long pressing enter since everyone is using different smileys

It'll be better if you support for more smiley. Also show smiley as a image, not as a text in the keyboard ;-) My xperia's standart keyboard has almost 28 smiley

Just have one proposal. If you press and hold the enter-button, you will get a pop up with common smileys. It would be great to customize those to your own personal liking. So that i can for example like the ":)" more then the ":-)" you can change that. Or if you use ":S" or "<3" more, instead of ":-!", you can change that to! The HTC_IME Mod by jonasl@xda have this feature for example so you can check what I mean. This would complete this keyboard very well! :D

Maybe we can individually customize the smileys or functionalities in the "Enter" button, to make even more user friendly. =)

In the past few months, the keyboard has gone through 3 different behaviors for entering an emoticon:
1) click once, click desired emoticon
2) long press, slide to desired emoticon and release
3) long press, click desired emoticon

Each time it changes, I think the keyboard is somehow broken, because there's no change notification after the update, and I don't always read the entire "What's New" section (if it's even mentioned). Every time I get used to a new behavior, it changes. Please make these 3 different behaviors user-configurable in the Settings menu, possibly in the Advanced section similar to the Long Press Duration.

MORE EMOTICONS! (just want a heart that others can see)

Change the smiley face menu so that we can create custom smiley faces and swap these out for the default ones if we want to, especially so that the dedicated smiley face button can be changed to a smiley face of the user's creation (I just can't take that :-) face and it's a pain to manually enter smileys just to use the ones I want).

I am a SwiftKey user and I use twicca as my twitter client. One thing that
doesn't work for me is going to the number and symbols keyboard to put some
smileys on my messages. I would like to be capable of configuration a smiley

The Keyboard needs a smiley button.

Maybe you haven't a girlfriend ... maybe you have one and if you have one like me you always type this smiley " <3 " ! Is it possible to imagine a menu entry to custom the smileys in order to gain a precious time ...

You removed the :-D and added a button for a hard return. Please change it back or make it customizable.

The emoticon menu should be customizable. This would allow you to get rid of the noses or you could add your own. [ :-) becomes :)] or [>.<] You could make it so each box could be changed and you could enter your own emoticon. This would also allow you to change the order of the emoticons.

More settings for the Smiley button.

For example:
Changing the default Smiley,
Smileys with/without noses,
Change the function of this button altogether.

Just like the stock Gingerbread keyboard, long pressing the enter key should popup a window with smileys.
